Introducing CDC3: (Chocolate Dipped Chocolate Chip Cookies)

I love chocolate chip cookies. Simple, gooey, crispy...delicious....but sometimes you feel like going crazy and taking it up a level.

Behold the CDC3 (Chocolate Dipped Chocolate Chip Cookie)!

Here is my super-de-duper top secret cookie recipe, which is made with a "no egg" batter, perfect for allowing kiddos to lick the bowl with abandon!

-1 cup all-purpose flour
-1/2 teaspoon of salt (I like the crunchy texture of sea salt)
-1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
-1 stick of butter melted and cooled
-1/2 cup of brown sugar
-1/4 cup of granulated sugar
-1 teaspoon vanilla
-1 tablespoon of water
-1 cup of chocolate chips
-bag of chocolate melting wafers

Mix flour, baking soda, salt and put aside. In a separate bowl, mix the butter, vanilla, and both sugars until creamy, then add the dry ingredients slowly until just combined. Add chocolate chips and add water if needed to make the mix more pliable.

Roll into tablespoon sized balls and place on baking sheet, lightly pressing to flatten.

Bake at 350 degrees on a parchment or silpat lined baking sheet for about 15 minutes or until golden.

Allow cookies to cool completely, then microwave the melting wafers according to package instructions. Stir well, and, working quickly, "dunk" your cookies in and place on a clean parchment lined baking sheet.

Place in the freezer for 20 minutes or until firm.
Remove from freezer and keep in an air tight container at room temperature. Enjoy them within 48 hours, or less, as these bad boys are pretty ridic. ;)

Makes about 10 cookies (because any more would be illegal).
