Handmade Holidays #3: Cinnamon Ornaments

These TWO ingredient ornaments are not only fun to make, they make your home smell like the holidays...yum.

I love them for accents on a tree, or using them to wrap up pretty DIY presents.

You will need: (for 20 ornaments)
1/2 cup of applesauce
3/4 cups of cinnamon
cookie cutters

1. Mix the applesauce and cinnamon until well blended and a dough forms. If the dough is sticky, add a bit more cinnamon and set aside.

2. Prepare space on your counter and sprinkle cinnamon down (much like you would flour). Roll out the cinnamon dough until it is about 1/4 inch thick.

3. Press your cookie cutter in the dough and remove gently, placing finished cut outs on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.


4. Once all your shapes are cut out, use a toothpick to make a hole for each shape for hanging.


5. Bake at 225 degrees for an hour. Allow to cool completely.

6. String your ornaments and allow to sit overnight before hanging to ensure they are completely dry.
