Craft Night: Brooklyn Craft Company

Mommy's night out at Brooklyn Craft Company! If you haven't checked them out or attended a Brooklyn Craft Camp, this is a must-do. The crafty Brett Bara created this space last year, and offers a range of classes from embroidery (with Jessica Marquez, author of one of my favorite books, Stitched Gifts) to Knitting 101.

This sewing class was taught by Nicole Smith, author of Skirt-A-Day Sewing, who patiently taught our group to make a really cute elastic waist skirt. By summer's end, I expect to have a closet full of them. :)
We were lucky enough to break in these new Bernina B215 machines. It was so easy to use, I may have to add it to my crafty wish list.
Who knew hemming could be so gratifying?
Check out the "knit" wallpaper in the studio- obsessed.
Three hours later and here is me with my finished skirt... Success!
