Easy Infinity Jersey Scarves and Bonus Headbands!

Here is an adorable and easy DIY for toddler infinity scarves using soft jersey knit. Perfect for spring weather and breezy park days!

You will need:
1 yard of jersey knit fabric
sewing machine
scissors

1. Cut a piece of fabric 42" by 12" (child size). One yard of fabric will make three, plus some bonus headbands seen below.

2. Pin fabric right sides facing and sew 1/4 inch seam.

3. Reach your hand into the tube and bring both raw edges to meet, with right sides still facing.

4. Sew another 1/4 inch seam around the tube, leaving about 3 inches unsewn. Pull scarf right side out.

5. Fold in seam and sew 3 inches closed, remembering to backstitch at either end to close.

6. Loop around your wee ones head twice and they will enjoy this scarf through the spring season. Easy!

Bonus scrap headband:
With scraps, cut a rectangle 26" by 5". (If you wanted to make baby ones, try reducing the size a few inches. For adult size, try adding a few inches.)

Fold the right sides facing each other and cut each end so it is a curved edge, as shown (I used a water glass for my edge).

Sew a 1/8 inch seam around the fabric, except for 1 inch at the middle.

Turn the fabric right side out, and fold in seam in middle, sewing closed.

Tie your headband, tighten, and wear!
