Hi there! Welcome to my DIY blog!

With three kids, a full time job, and a Girl Scout troop, you may think I do not have time to DIY, but the truth is- I make time! Crafting is my hobby, my de-stressor, my passion. Almost every project you will see featured here can be completed in an hour or less, proving everyone can be a naptime crafter! Remember, it doesn’t have to be perfect, just handmade with love!

 

I dedicate this blog to my Grandmother, Ethel, for being the biggest inspiration in my life.

At 93 years young, she is an active cook, baker and gardener. She also knits, crochets, sews her own clothes, and paints. She creates scrapbooks of projects she wants to make and collects pictures and articles in binders…you may say she created the “Pinterest of the Past”!

I remember when I was a little girl I would explore in her craft room in the basement of her home, touching various materials, finding buttons of all shapes, sizes and colors, and playing with her yarns and notions. I have fond memories of making macaroni necklaces, baking cookies and playing dress up in handmade costumes my Grandma made for me.

I hope to inspire my kids to be crafty and creative, and make memories together as I have with my Grandma.
